Walid Hareb Al Falahi is Chief Executive Officer of the UAE Trade Center and of Dubai Consultancy, the Emirati business consultancy he founded in 2005. Established in 2019 and headquartered in Kenya, with offices in Nairobi and Dubai, the UAE Trade Center promotes business and investment between the United Arab Emirates and African nations. It links member companies with government and business leaders across Africa in sectors that include energy, infrastructure, finance, agribusiness and trade facilitation.

Al Falahi graduated from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1994 before working at Emirates Bank. He then spent close to a decade at the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, where he was Senior Business Development Manager. His other roles have included Chief Executive Officer of the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, Vice President of Akar Properties and Vice Chairman of Sultan Investments.

In September 2023, Al Falahi signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the UAE Trade Center with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) to promote the TRADAR Club, covering trade and investment information, business matchmaking, technical assistance and capacity building. He speaks on commercial ties between the UAE and Africa at international forums, including the 2023 U.S.-Africa Business Summit and the 3rd India UAE Partnership Summit in Dubai in November 2025. His focus areas include market access, trade facilitation, investment promotion and business networks connecting Gulf and African markets.
