Next-Gen in Energy (YEEIP)
AETC’s Next-Gen in Energy programme gives young professionals and innovators a platform to deliver talks, pitch solutions, and connect with and be empowered by industry leaders.
Youth are emerging as an essential source of talent in the energy industry, already accounting for a substantial share of the workforce. The next generation holds enormous potential to shape the sector, through engagement in decision-making at local and international levels, and as the skilled, entrepreneurial workforce that will engineer Africa’s energy future.
AETC’s Next-Gen in Energy programme gives young professionals and innovators a platform to deliver talks, pitch solutions, and connect with and be empowered by industry leaders. Anchored by the Youth Energy Entrepreneurship & Incubation Programme (YEEIP), it is a direct pipeline from youthful ideas to investment-ready, commercial ventures, the living embodiment of engineering sovereignty.
“I believe that if we all put in a small effort, including those who have access to money or are lawmakers, and big organisations, we can bring about a change in Africa. Then, I can say that there is hope for the future.”
