AETC’s First Innovators Cohort Spotlights Africa’s Energy Talent
AETC’s inaugural Energy Innovators & Climate Change Heroes Pitch drew over 180 applicants from across the continent. Eight finalists advanced to pitch live before a panel of investors, technology leads, and development finance institutions.
Their solutions tackled real gaps in Africa’s energy value chain: off-grid battery storage optimization, pay-as-you-go LPG distribution, smart metering with mobile payments, and AI-driven solar irrigation, proof that homegrown innovation is ready to scale.
Winning startups received direct seed funding commitments, business incubation placements, and invitations to post-conference leadership roundtables, including the EU Youth & Innovators Summit.
